In addition to exhibitors, 8000 visitors came to Birmingham NEC from 21st to 23rd April 2009. According to the organizing team, 1500 visitors came from foreign countries. It was a good opportunity for neavia to present our wrong way detection system combining acoustic video and radar detection. Unfortunately, 2 days before, a crash occurs on the M1 at some tenths of miles from Birmingham. A reckless driver made a U-turn on the M1 and drove 3 miles before smashing into another car coming the other way. It is a piece of evidence that immediate user warning and automatic wrong way detection could save lifes. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/8011686.stm
