Surveillance of dangerous road sections

Bends, upgoing roads, foggy areas, risk of river overflowing,…Neavia's beacon can be easily installed and do not require any cabling and do not require any road digging in. A set of beacons can monitor a continuous section of road.

Congestion Information

Lack of visibility upstream a congested area may cause severe accidents. For instance, at peak hours, when a roundabout or a traffic signal ends a road. Placing a congestion detecting beacon and a variable message sign upstream will improve road user safety.
Once congestion is detected, the Neavia's beacon sends a radio signal to the VMS and turn it on. Optionally, through a GPRS connexion, a remote management center can be alerted or an internet site can be updated.

Bridge Surveillance

Bridges are often located in areas where neither electricity mains nor telecoms networks are available. Neavia's beacons are wireless and have solar panel power feeding. Placing a set of incident detection beacons before and along the bridge will speed up the incident resolution. Thanks to alarms and images, the incident will be accurately assessed and the proper emergency services dispatched.

Road Works Surveillance

Important road works may last several months. During all that time, several lanes can be closed and the traffic can be deviated. The traffic flow has to slow down very abruptly. Car crashes can be caused, and road workers can be injured. Placing Neavia beacons and variable message signs on trailers provides a mobile solution than can follow the road works displacement.
